“Thank you to the MSFA and Legends/ASM Global for this incredible leadership opportunity as U.S. Bank Stadium’s next general manager. I am grateful for my community and the experiences that have shaped my development over the last two decades in the sports and entertainment industry, leading up to this advancement,” said Shannon Kelly, U.S. Bank Stadium general manager. “As a proud Minnesota native who loves this state, U.S. Bank Stadium, and its many talented team members, I look forward to leading the best stadium in the National Football League. Together with the MSFA, Legends/ASM Global, the Minnesota Vikings, and all stadium partners, we have an exciting road ahead building upon the great successes of this venue.”
In her new role as general manager, Shannon will oversee day-to-day operations at U.S. Bank Stadium, including the overall management, promotion, and operation of the 66,000+ capacity stadium, while leading the local Legends/ASM Global management team.
In this new role as regional vice president for Legends/ASM Global, John Drum will now oversee six NFL Stadiums (U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN; Soldier Field in Chicago, IL; State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ; NRG Stadium in Houston, TX; Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA), along with the Sanford Center in Bemidji, MN and the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

I am looking forward to working the management teams of eight venues as a regional vice president with our organization,” stated John Drum, regional vice president for Legends/ASM Global. “I would like to thank both the MSFA and the Minnesota Vikings for their trust and support since my arrival to Minnesota in 2017. Shannon has been part of the success of U.S. Bank Stadium over the last seven years and is ready to guide this venue in the years ahead as the next general manager.”
John joined the Legends/ASM Global executive team in 2017 and following, served as general manager for the U.S. Bank Stadium team since 2020. He has a rich history of venue management, working for or alongside professional sports teams, and leading high-performing teams across his 29 years in the sports and entertainment industry.
U.S. Bank Stadium was ranked #1 in the NFL’s Voice of the Fan Survey for the 2024 season under both John Drum and Shannon Kelly’s leadership and with support of the entire Legends/ASM Global management team, the Minnesota Vikings, and U.S. Bank Stadium partners.
“Congratulations to John and Shannon for these well-deserved promotions," said Minnesota Vikings Chief Operating Officer Andrew Miller. "Both have been tremendous resources and strong partners for the Vikings over the last eight and seven years, respectively. Their leadership has played a major role in our efforts to provide a best-in-class fan experience for Vikings games at U.S. Bank Stadium, evidenced by this past season's #1 Voice of the Fan ranking. Shannon's nearly two decades of experience in event operations, coupled with her collaborative approach and positive leadership style, makes her a natural choice to build upon the foundation John established. We're thrilled to continue our partnership with her to give Vikings fans the game day environment and experience they expect and deserve."
