Summary

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Guest Experience and Tours Manager at SMG/U.S. Bank Stadium. The Guest Experience and Tours Manager oversees and supervises all internal and external guest services staff; develops and builds the tour program as necessary to reach established goals; and coordinates and supervises specific event-related security staff as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct various personnel and activities necessary to establish a safe and efficient environment
  • Assist with budget preparation and track budget allocation throughout the year
  • Develop, refine, and implement staff training curriculum
  • Work with partners within the stadium to maintain and continually enhance employee recognition and reward programs
  • Ensure staff compliance with SMG employee conduct standards
  • Work with Human Resources to ensure efficient staff recruiting and on-boarding
  • Proactively refine tour program as needed to maintain relevance in the market
  • Achieve measurable tour related goals
  • Maintain desired staffing levels for events and tours
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with al event related staff to include public safety and emergency response personnel
  • Prepare payroll, maintain records, and compile reports for management on a periodic basis
  • Address guest complaints, disturbances or related problems with the public, staff, or promoters
  • Investigate, report, and provide follow-up on incidents including damage or injury to the facility or individuals
  • Gain control over unusual circumstances caused by fire, storms, riots, and other emergencies
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage Guest Experience and Tours full-time staff
  • Train event staff, and other personnel in protective procedures, fire safety, and other emergency procedures
  • Schedule event staff for day-to-day operations and special events. Continue to adjust and update work schedules to reflect cost efficiency and building activity
  • Develop and coordinate training programs for regular and part-time employees to increase awareness of safety issues, policies, and procedures

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and four (4) years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles and techniques of planning, implementing and supervising event staff. Possess knowledge of security issues related to a major sports and entertainment venue.
  • Handle conflicts, make decisions, and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment
  • Must be able to mult-task
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Understanding of event security operations

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge using:

  • Microsoft Office
  • ABI Mastermind software experience (preferred, not required)
  • Incident and Event Management software experience (e.g. 24/7 Software) (preferred, not required)

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to work under limited supervision and to interact with all levels of staff including management
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays.

Summary

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Cleaning Services Attendant for SMG/U.S. Bank Stadium. Working with a team, the Cleaning Services Attendant helps maintain a clean working environment for all staff & visitors to U.S. Bank Stadium.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilize and operate all cleaning equipment necessary to maintain cleanliness in the facility
  • Periodically lead a crew of part time employees for events or special projects
  • Clean, monitor, and restock restrooms
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors (shampoo/scrub and extract as necessary)
  • Clean all soft and hard surfaces per manufacturer instructions/recommendations
  • Empty and run trash / recycling materials and sorting the different waste streams
  • Maintain outside walking areas including sweeping debris and shoveling snow
  • Clean and polish fixtures
  • Occasionally assist in setting up or striking tables, chairs and other items
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to work all shifts as necessary including evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays
  • Be able to work independently as well as with and sometimes leading a crew of part time employees
  • Follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with others.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others while working
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on event schedule including evening, weekends, and holidays

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Experience in similar facility settinger preferred
  • Experience with cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers – both riding and walk behind versions, carpet extractors, chemicals, etc.

Summary

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Guest Experience Lead for SMG/U.S. Bank Stadium. Responsible for overseeing a specified number of Guest Experience Representatives with different skilled positions located throughout the stadium. This individual understands that they are in a Supervisory role and have the ability to impact each guests’ experience and does everything that they can to enhance the experience while abiding by company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of over ten (10) Guest Experience Representatives in an area located in or outside of the stadium
  • Brief team members prior to going on post at every event ensuring that each team member is knowledgeable about event activities and prepared for the duties of his/her post
  • Prepare event day paperwork including team member assessments and post incident reports
  • Work both cooperatively with Management and independently to resolve any team member or patron-related issues
  • Understand the scope of the Reward & Recognition program to ensure that team members demonstrating "Above & Beyond" service are properly acknowledged
  • Coach team members on Guest Experience Program policies as needed
  • Meet and greet all guests entering U.S. Bank Stadium, check for valid tickets when necessary
  • Be personal and pro-active in providing assistance to all guests with the highest level of customer service and hospitality
  • Assist guests by providing accurate directions to seating section and key attractions within U.S. Bank Stadium and surrounding areas i.e. Plazas, Park, Light Rail.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationship with those contacted in the course of work
  • Responsible for working in a variety of areas including elevators, stairwells, aisles and in premium clubs
  • Retain an extensive knowledge of U.S. Bank Stadium layout, seating Sections, key venue attractions, key venue personnel identity, and emergency activity procedures
  • Enforce stadium and league rules, regulations and policies
  • Provide immediate assistance to and emergency notification of guests in the event of an accident or injury
  • In the event of an emergency, assist in evacuating U.S. Bank Stadium, while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor
  • Monitor all public areas to maintain order and safety
  • Perform daily safety and security checks within assigned area as well as throughout the stadium; report all substandard or inadequate findings to Management
  • Cohesively work in conjunction with other departments, including Minneapolis Police Department, security, food service, box office, retail, parking, custodial/housekeeping, and maintenance
  • Perform additional functions and activities as directed by the Manager, Guest Experience
  • Other duties as assigned

Summary
SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has excellent and immediate openings for Tour Guides for SMG/U.S. Bank Stadium. A candidate for this position promotes a positive and professional image at all times. This individual is responsible for delivering service of the highest standard which is administered daily through each tour given at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Tour Guide Representative role is to effectively assist the Tour Program at U.S. Bank Stadium with customer service roles, including but not limited to ticket taking, tour facilitation, and tour guest supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet all guests entering U.S. Bank Stadium, check for valid tickets when necessary
  • Be personal and pro-active in providing assistance to all guests with the highest level of customer service and hospitality
  • Check tickets of guests arriving at the beginning of their tours
  • Follow and assist on tours of U.S. Bank Stadium to public and private tour guests daily, making sure that all tour groups stay together
  • Facilitate a group getting through the stadium in a safe and effective way
  • In the event of an emergency, assist in evacuating U.S. Bank Stadium, while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor
  • Monitor all public areas to maintain order and safety
  • Work with fellow team members to keep the tour on schedule and in the correct routes
  • Learn the different types of tour tickets and what tour are available on a day to day basis
  • Provide set-up for tours
  • Assists with special requests
  • Maintain a professional image and pleasant demeanor at all times
  • Perform additional functions and activities as directed by the Guest Experience and Tours Coordinator
