NCAA ANNOUNCES DIVISION I WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP AT U.S. BANK STADIUM IN MARCH 2020

Minneapolis, MN (April 18, 2017) – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced today that the University of Minnesota will host four collegiate championship events within the 2018-2022 championship bid cycle, including the DI Wrestling Championship at U.S. Bank Stadium scheduled for March 19-21, 2020.

University of Minnesota, Sports Minneapolis and U.S. Bank Stadium staff bid in partnership on the major championship for 2020, proposing to host this event for the first time in an NFL stadium. U.S. Bank Stadium increases the event’s capacity for seating and with world-class amenities will provide the best experience for fans and student athletes alike.

The 2020 DI Wrestling Championship joins the 2019 NCAA Men’s Final Four as the second major championship hosted by the University of Minnesota at U.S. Bank Stadium.
