Exterior Spaces

Located in the heart of Minneapolis, U.S. Bank Stadium is a signature venue spurring economic development on the east side of downtown.

Medtronic Plaza

Medtronic Plaza sits adjacent to the west entrance of the stadium just outside the large glass pivoting doors. This three-acre plaza is home to the Legacy Ship and The Horn, a spiral sculpture resembling the Vikings’ Gjallarhorn.

Medtronic Plaza serves as an extension of the stadium and may be used in conjunction with the stadium for major events or rented independently for a wide selection of programming.

Downtown East Plaza

The Downtown East Plaza is an optimal space for outdoor events with a maximum capacity reaching 3,000 guests. With a backdrop of the stadium’s beautiful Legacy Gate and close proximity to The Commons, the Downtown East Plaza is the perfect location for outdoor celebrations including concerts and festivals. During the football season, the Vikings Longhouse occupies the southwest corner of the space, serving as an outdoor bar prior to Vikings games. This temporary structure is available for rental when in place through the Vikings season.
